Inspired By A Child
Moss & Marsh is the creative effort of Candace Brodmann (pictured above), a stay-at-home mom with a degree in Textiles from the University of Georgia. At the early age of eight, Candace learned to sew from her mother. Fabric & sewing has been an important aspect of her life ever since. From college studies, to making her own wedding dress, to founding Moss & Marsh, God has led Candace's path to creating handmade products. While adjusting to parenthood with their first born, Ettalee, Candace and her husband, often had ideas for products that would make life easier. Naturally, Candace went straight to the sewing machine to make their ideas become realities. In much the same way that many moms seek to share advice with each other, Candace hopes to share her products with other parents to help make life simpler and more beautiful.
100% Handmade
Candace has always felt the most satisfied when making something functional from scratch. That's why it is so important to her that each product is made from start to finish right here in Savannah, GA. This enables her to have complete design control throughout the entire production process, from the first print sketch to the last stitch. As a textile designer & seamstress, handmade quality is what Candace strives for. While many brands work with mass-produced fabrics (and sometimes designs too), the original silkscreened patterns on our fabrics set us apart. Each one of our prints starts as a simple line drawing. That drawing becomes a repeated pattern and is then screen printed onto our fine cotton fabrics. From there, each product is cut and sewn out of our one-of-a-kind textiles. This labor intensive process allows Moss & Marsh to uphold the handmade quality that our customers have come to expect.

Meet the team...

Meet Jami - Seamstress
Jami is one of our super seamstresses. She is a true Savannah local who studied art at Armstrong University. As an only child, she found her talents for making things with her hands very early. "It is the problem solving and independence of having the ability to make the things I need that keep me busy as a maker." AND she has her own whimsical line of products, check out @flightoftheparcel to see her handmade wares.
Meet Soherah - Seamstress
Soh loves to sew!! Being homeschooled since the age of four, she learned to put her vast imagination to good use in different ways like painting and baking to name a few, but sewing was always a favorite. She sewed many things from dresses to drapes and everything in between. Creating unique things has always been a passion for her and as a stay at home mom she hopes to pass these skills on to her two little divas. She also enjoys pinterest and diy for new ideas and inspiration.

Meet Emma - Shop Assistant
Emma started as an apprentice at Moss and Marsh in the beginning of 2019, and now works as a shop assistant. For as long as she can remember she has loved making things. Emma got her first sewing machine at age 8, and now she takes every chance she gets to make something. Her biggest passion however, is costuming, and she loves working in theater and making a show come to life through costumes. "Working at Moss & Marsh has really helped me improve and become more confident in my sewing skills and also gave me a new love for screen printing."
Meet Kate - Shop Gal
Kate is a born and bred Savannahian, who wants to be a surgeon one day. She says the precision involved with printing fabric helps her learn to steady her hands and pay attention to detail. When she’s not at the barn with her horse, Sadie, Kate is spending time painting, cooking, and reading while listening to music. She loves sitting on the roof late at night staring at the stars through her telescope. Kate enjoys working with Candace and the team at Moss and Marsh. Creating is her thing.
